Excel - Data Transformation - Breaking Out Ranges

Given a column with a range of Bates numbers (alphanumeric identifiers), I wrote code to break the range into two columns for the start and end number. This is made difficult by the fact of the range being formatted in a shorthand manner for presentation. For example, the entry "AF2001-02" is converted to "AF2001" and "AF2002".
