I'm experienced in general-purpose Python programming, and web programming based on Django framework/Javascript(jQuery/Ajax)/HTML/CSS and have worked on a couple of data-intensive projects that have real-time availability requirements and tight deadlines. I'm interested in assignments that require some degree of analytical thinking in addition to programming skills. I'm a Physics major turned developer. That means I'm meticulous about details, good at solving problems in a creative and systematic way. I write modular, readable, easily maintainable and extensible code by default. I can adapt if you have specific programming style requirement. I also have some experience in the following areas: scalable database design, algorithm design, machine learning, data/text mining, CPU-intensive problem-solving using Cython, concurrent programming using gevent.
