Illustration, packaging design and art direction. In collaboration with Jono Garrett. Based on the idea that a good padlock keeps hardened criminals from stealing your stuff. By die-cutting the packaging and only allowing the top part of the lock to come through, it gives all the criminals an unhappy face.

[login to view URL] My name is Nicolaas Kotze and I am a freelance illustrator & designer specializing in illustration, design, lettering & typography. I have worked for a lot of wonderful clients from around the world and shared studio space with amazing people over the years. I made my way across the country and I'm currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa. My work is characterized by detailed craft, bold lines and soft pastels.
