I began my career as a freelance news and features writer for national and international newspapers and magazines and won a British Press Award. Then , in a career spanning 20 years at the BBC in England, I was an executive producer, editorially responsible for almost 300 hours of national and international programming credits, winning a number of national and international broadcast awards. I held a number of departmental head posts at the Corporation and was also the Executive Producer for several successful, one-off dramas on BBC TV . I moved to Granada International to head-up its global co-productions unit .and executive produced scores of international co-productions with global distribution. After three years there, I became the Executive Director of VHQ TV, the largest independent media company in SE Asia and credits included several high profile documentaries for the Discovery Networks and National Geographic International TV Channels and created and wrote The Crunch , an 8 part extreme adventure reality series co-produced with Hunan TV, China’s largest commercial station. I was also the scriptwriter and executive producer for Seven Wonders of China a globally distributed mini-series. I has recently launched my own company – Wild Ones Promotions and have developed a number of adventure and travel based formats as well as recently completing a feature film script, soon to go into pre-production. I now also intend to try my hand at online feature writing. I have taught regularly in a number of British Universities in a range of media subjects and devised postgraduate courses My interests are media, travel ,lifestyle trends , sport , animal behaviour and developing strategies for avoiding retirement .
