SOUND OF DRONES (Sound compositions)
Drones are long sounds that have an origin in old musical traditions. They were used in the MiddleAges, and before by eastern cultures. These, generally accompany a melodic line and they structure an homogenous harmony. However, Drones have an appeal by themselves and they have gained interest recently. I am interested in the temporal quality of Drones and its spectral composition. I think they suggest a behaviour that is rather mechanical, and not so human, referring to natural sonic phenomena occurring without our intervention. All this, could be related to processes of the energy. Thus, the concept of Drones can be extrapolated to energy structures in matter, and its temporal evolution. This can be imagined as if it produced sounds. This is the idea behind this project, willing to understand the role of language in culture and consciousness, these drones were made out of recordings of languages processed until rendering this result. http://iobridger.wordpress.com
