E-learning Portal Scope We developed a system for web-based course to facilitate and make it easier for users to register and login for training on eLearning Portals. We created systems for three types of users of the portal: a) the instructors that provide training to the students, b) the students and c) the administrator who brought the students and trainers together. Further, we developed a system that a helped the users to proceed to book a practical session after they had taken an assessment test for the courseware. Challenge We used the free open source e-learning software Moodle to create the program. Integrating Moodle with the existing software was difficult. Solution We customized Moodle to suit our needs, integrated it with PHP and developed our own plug-ins to remove consequent defects in the software. Technology Stack:- PHP, MySQL.
