Objective Seeking a challenging, responsible and rewarding position in which to utilize my knowledge in customer service while I have the opportunity to expand and provide bilingual/interpretation skills to our community. Work Experience Notary Public 3/2003 - Present Greenville Bilingual Notary Greenville, South Carolina In this position I am responsible for notarizing documents, performing weddings, serving as a witness when needed, and of course providing interpretation and translation services. This work is scheduled as needed, and according to my primary job schedule. As an Interpreter/Translator, I translate documents for colleges, companies and individual people. Language proficiency is demonstrated from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. I have been translating documents and interpreting for customers since 1996. PRN Interpreter 12/2003 - Present Bon Secours St Francis Health System Greenville, South Carolina I was scheduled to be on-call once every 5-weeks to interpret for our Spanish-speaking patients and their families. Once per month I taught an Infection Control class in Spanish to constructions workers that had difficulty understanding the class in English. Supervisor 2/2002 - 3/2003 Homegold / Emmco Financial Greenville, South Carolina I supervised, coached and trained approximately 20 Mortgage Originators to take calls and turn them into loan applications. I managed the floor to the call model guidelines set by the company. I ensured the dialer was set and running in a manner that allowed opportunity to top performance from reps. As the company downsized, I covered the positions of trainer and recruiter for the company. I performed these tasks until the company closed its doors in March 2003. This position taught me how to work effectively with the AMCAT dialer system. Sales Manager 5/2000 – 12/2001 Interactive Teleservices, Corp. I started out with this company as a Trainer and was promoted to Supervisor, then Sales Manager. The last center I was sent to did not have a call center manager and I performed all the duties of such, including managing a 140-station call center. I directed the Training, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Human Resource Departments within the center. I answered to the Vice President of Operations, including but not limited to, attending daily conference calls and ensuring our center’s revenues were abundant and profitable to the company. I was responsible for hiring and firing of all personnel in the center. I ensured that all departments in the center ran smoothly, putting teamwork in the forefront of all activities within our center. Additionally, I implemented ideas and contests that made the center competitive, yet, enjoyable for the representatives. Finally, I kept an open door policy and made myself available so that all 300 employees felt welcome to come and speak with any thoughts or concerns they may have had. I trained other trainers as well as entry level and veteran telephone representatives to be effective in the art of selling over the telephone. I was also a key participant in helping our center pass the ISO 9002 certification. I was promoted to Operations Evening Sales Manager of the 120-station call center. This position gave me the opportunity to learn to work with the EIS dialer system. 6/1996 - 9/1998 Auto Body Express Vienna, West Virginia As proprietor, my duties included maintaining my own business through employee supervision, record management, payroll, collections and business accounting and customer relations. This job had a high volume of customers which I dealt with on a daily basis. Account Manager 12/1988 - 1/1991 Ferreteria Frankie (Hardware Store) Rio Grande, Puerto Rico With this company I worked directly with all accounts, kept track of all purchases and payments made or received, to include collections; I dealt directly with customers as well as clients. Was taught how to use the teletype machine for these transmissions. Received secret clearance. Skills Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, and some Access Bilingual - Spanish/English Internet research Office Machines: multi-line phone system, copier, scanner, fax, laminating, shredder, etc. References Available upon request.
