Preview: As a child I thought as a child. I was naïve and unknowledgeable. Life did not have the same meaning until that momentous day when everything changed at an instant. I had to begin facing consequences I thought only existed on film. My heart stopped, my brain froze, and my body's first reaction was to scream. I wrote this piece about a tragic event in my life. I learned from this experience and I wanted to express my feelings, and share my growth.
