Lowestoft College End of Year Show 2012
My design was chosen out of a select few. I wanted to use the new laser cutting machine that the College had got this year. However, due it's prototype nature and the lack of staff knowing how to run it, I was unable to get the desired effect I hoped for. The top section, above BA Design, was to be removed, giving a cityscape feel causing intrigue. The image used in the background was a students work using plastic, dye and binding creating a very aesthetically powerful 3D web which could be used to create products such as bags or ornaments. The colors of the piece that was photographed allowed for a high contrast of dark bold letters - Helvetica Black, and the greens in a select few panels helped bring the logo for UCS in nice and subtley. The document was reduced down to A4 as well as the A3 it was designed for. I also created an invitation based on the same principles.
