An adaptive timer for RPL to handle mobility in wireless sensor networks
IWCMC 2016: 678-683 2015
in this paper, we propose to modify RPL in c language in order to fit with an hybrid topology. The trickle timer used by mobile nodes was changed to an adaptive timer. By this way, preferred parent are able to estimate the disconnect time of mobile nodes and then stop sending packets. This method prevents packets lost and the unnecessary use of memory by regulating the control messages.
An Efficient Intrusion Detection System in IPv6-based Wireless Sensor Networks under Mobility.
: International Journal on Semantic Web and Information Systems (IJSWIS)13(3)
In this work, we design, implement, and evaluate a novel intrusion detection system for mobile wireless sensor networks based on IPv6 routing protocol for low power and lossy networks in c language. The new intrusion detection system can be extended to other attacks such as wormhole and sybil attacks. The simulations results show that the detection probability is 100% for selective attackers under some cases.
