My name is Fakhriddin Nizamov. I work and live in the city of Tashkent. I am 44 years old. I am philologist and journalist. In 1988 I graduated from the Samarqand State University. From Decvember 1993 to April 1994 I attended a journalism course at The Indian Institute of Mass Communications. I have been working as a professional translator since the beginning of 90-s. I have translated following books from English into Uzbek: 1) It Takes a Village to Raise a Child by Hillary Clinton, 1997; 2) Islam 2000: Finding the Qibla in a Postmodern World by Timothy Winter(its electronic version is available on the website [login to view URL]) TV series: 1) 30 series Silk Road documentary by NHK; 2) 54 series Dae Jang Geum video film by a Korean TV station. Besides I translated a lot of books and TV series from Russian into Uzbek. Now I am involved into a few Internet projects where I translate article both from Uzbek and Russian into English. Since 2000 I have been involved into a UNESCO Tashkent Silk Radio project.
