After a few good years of groundwork in the corporate world of marketing and project management, I made the decision to freelance in 2000 in order to have more autonomy and creative freedom. My focus from 2000 to late 2009 was on providing high quality writing services for women in small to medium sized business, one of the largest growing categories of business in Australia. For these years I wrote, edited and developed website content, media releases and other marketing copy while caring for my growing family and upgrading my skills and knowledge-base through tertiary studies. In early 2010 I commenced work on Flinders University's C2R2 project, responsible for the development of over 1300 online pages of student & course information. Since completion of this project I've been managing the the MACO Online Presence Project, an online support resource for Flinders University staff and partners. Concurrently, I'm migrating and developing content for the Flinders Centre for Clinical Change and Health Care Research as well as writing content for high profile print publications for the University. These projects are in the final stages and I'll become available to commit to new projects from 20/3/2011. My specialties are writing, editing and developing online and print publication content, including business needs analysis, information architecture/site structure design & CMS use.
