The goal of the project was to develop a data entry system for the policy and access tracking tool. I developed the concurrent data entry process and wrote several stored procedures to store/fetch data from Microsoft SQL Server instances. I have also developed the role based access control mechanism using reflection. I have also improved performance of the Telerik's grid view control manipulation for 2-way data binding and manipulation. The data entry tool is being used 24/7 by over 1000 data analysts and managers across the globe.

Policy And Access Tracking Tool - Data Entry System

The project's purpose was to build a portal which would allow the users to generate, download and print PDF of the policy and access tracking tool data in tabular and chart formats. I built the chart and PDF generation and rendering mechanism using HighCharts, HighMaps, iTextSharp and PDFJS. I also developed the policy data presentation process in the portal using Kendo UI Grid. I also wrote unit tests using NUnit and QUnit. Later, I also developed the policy data inquiry submission to Teamwork Desk process using Bronto SOAP API and Teamwork Desk REST API. The PDF generation process produces high quality vector output which can be printed with over 800% zooming.

Client wanted to develop a RESTful web service which will provide access to the health related policy and access tracking data that the client collects. The client also wanted to develop a fully responsive web portal which would act as a front-end to the web service and will display the data in grids and charts. I led the overall development effort and specially tailored the dependency injection container using Ninject, the RESTful architecture, authentication mechanism of the web service using OAuth2 (bearer token authorization), and real-time alerting system in the web portal using SignalR. The project was done in 17 sprints (each sprint spanning 2 weeks).

Target was to improve the overall design of the site, to introduce support of real-time incident reporting system, to add daily email notifications and to migrate the back-end to server-less structure using AWS stacks and NodeJS.
