Video design & sound design - Massia Mara Youtube intro
I created this short intro video for a photographic safari company based in South Africa. I designed the entire audio from scratch using royalty free samples as well as samples I have recorded out in the field. I was asked to recreate a scene from a safari to the Massia Mara. The story line includes a safari vehicle full of photographers arriving at a quiet waterhole in the African bush. A large herd of Wildebeest comes stampeding past and many photographs are taken before the vehicle leaves again. I used a ripple effect on the logo to simulate the movement as the herd passes. This video was originally rendered in full HD, but has been down scaled for presentation in this portfolio. This project took me 7hrs to complete.
About Me
I am a professional photographer/graphic designer based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Photography is my first love and I have been lucky enough to have traveled around South Africa working as a photographic safari guide and photographic lecturer for the past few years, shooting and teaching in many of our country's most amazing destinations. Graphic design has also long been a passion of mine which has fitted in perfectly with the images I capture at each location. Being well versed in many of the Adobe Suite products, I pride myself in quick turnover times, value for money and high quality bodies of work. My philosophy is simple; I take the time to capture eye catching photographs and create simple yet beautiful designs to be utilized as effective marketing tools for my valued clients.
