"Silver stream" is an illustrated short children\'s story book for children from ages 5 to 10. Illustrated by Catarina Garcia and written by Paula Sá, it is based on a bedtime story about a little white horse who dreams about going to the moon.The horse speaks with several elements from nature, such as the wind, the wave, the cloud; in order to see if there is a way to make a trip to the moon. All of the interactions were worthless, till he meets a seagull who borrows him wings... The illustrations give a human face to each element of nature. Me concernant
I'm Catarina Garcia, a freelance artist, illustrator and graphic designer from Lisbon, Portugal. My main goal as an illustrator is to deliver quality work to the client. I have a degree in Painting (5 years) and a Master in Drawing (2 years) from the Fine Arts Faculty of Lisbon. Specialization in graphic design, ETIC, Lisbon, Portugal. I've developed skills in painting, drawing, printmaking and illustration while studying. After I finished my degree in 2008, I started doing freelance work. My main creative skills are drawing, composition and color, but I tend to get noticed due to my line drawings (expressive, artistic, with relation with reality but with a creative touch). However, I'm also able to do realistic drawings / paintings if needed, or even, technical drawings.
