I have been an active member of the Cedar City, Utah community for 18 years. Festival City, as it has come to be known, is home to just under 30,000 residents, and is known for its local arts and music scene. Festivals like Utah Shakespeare Festival, Groovefest American Music Festival, and the Utah Midsummer Renaissance Faire draw visitors from across the globe to our humble community. Nestled into the side of the Utah Rocky Mountain range in Beautiful Southern Utah, Cedar City has become my home despite my deep connection to my South Jersey roots.

Jun 2011 - Aug 2011 (2 months)

I wrote for the Utah Theater Bloggers for one season, but found it conflicted with work I was doing for the Iron County Today so I stopped. I have since stopped writing about theater for the Iron County Today and look forward to the opportunity to write for UTB again soon.

Alive! Utah south is an online publication. I have done a variety of pieces for the magazine that range from artist features to investigative reporting. In the upcoming months my editor is looking to find sponsorship to add me on as a full time investigative reporter based on the public response she received after publishing my story about the allocation of 2011-2012 RAP tax funding. Stories can be found at [login to view URL]

I have also done several themed story series while writing for the Iron County Today. During the past three years I have been both an intern and a freelance photographer and writer. My work can be found at [login to view URL] by putting my name in the search engine and choosing articles.

Assistant Regional Supervisor (in training)

Mar 2001 - May 2005 (4 years)

Having run several portrait studios within the Cleveland/Akron area successfully, when the Kmart my store was in went bankrupt, my regional supervisor created a position to keep me on since there were no stores available at the time to put me in. My job was to travel to the Cleveland and Akron area stores that were failing and help pull them out of the red by whatever means were necessary. I would retrain mangers or fire them and hire a new manager based on the circumstances in each store. I ran promotions

Kolob Canyon Review

The Kolob Canyon Review is a student based publication that showcases the work of students, faculty and alumni from Southern Utah University. It is run completely by the students and highlights the work of the student body through exhibiting skills in writing, photography and graphic design. I was published in 2009 and helped to produce the book in 2010 as part of the staff.
