Project stated "Do not make me your tester" but that is all he did. He said in the beginning that testing takes up 30% of time. Then when I tested - he would complain and say - it should only take 1 hour or after testing his fixes - should only take 15 minutes. If he used that time to his OWN testing - we would not have to go back and forth through testing many times. Many times - he would say "Done" then I test and find the EXACT same error. It was UTTERLY ridiculous ESPECIALLY when he was complaining how much time I was taking to test. He needs to understand that if he is going to do a complicated project - he EITHER needs to hire a tester or LEARN how to do THOROUGH testing. I hope he learns because he does have potential to be of great use in future projects. I suggest giving him a chance if you can help him test but if it is complicated and you need it quickly then be careful.
