Performance Analysis of OFDM with M-ary in Sum of Frequency-Selective Arbitrary Nakagami-m channels.
Error rates of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) signal using M-ary modulation in multipath slow fading Nakagami-m fading channel are considered. The exact probability density function of a sum of Nakagami-m random phase vector is used to derive a closed-form expression for the error rates of OFDM signals with arbitrary fading index m. This is done using the well-known moment generating function (MGF) analysis approach and in terms of the confluent hypergeometric function.
MRC Diversity Reception of OFDM with M-ary Modulation over Frequency-Selective Nakagami-m Fading.
In this paper, we take a close look at the performance of MRC diversity reception of OFDM signals in multipath slowly fading Nakagami-m channels. We derive an exact expression for the probability density function (PDF) of a sum of Nakagami-m random phase vectors, which is used to derive a closed-form expression for the error-rate of OFDM signals using multichannel reception with maximal ratio combining.
