TD Learning Consultancy

When I left university, I started my career in the retail business and then after 3 years, made the switch to the manufacturing business (brewing). During my 25 years in manufacturing, I spent 10 years in sales and then moved into HR, mainly in Learning and Development roles. TD Learning Consultancy was set up in 2014, with the aim to put my varied skillset to work to offer L&D consultancy services to SME's. Here is a summary of some of my key achievements whilst in the manufacturing industry: • Developing and delivering Global Line Manager Leadership programme (Accredited to deliver Insights and Situational Leadership) • Developing and delivering global induction programme across the business • European lead for annual people survey • European lead for annual performance management process • Global lead for Career development workshops (accredited programme) • Introduced web based learning via WebEx for Performance management programmes • Taking a global role as part of a UK based Centre of Excellence, influencing our global partners with or UK based initiatives. • Global lead for programme evaluation. • Introducing Global management development programme • Proposed and delivered leadership development training for our teams in Japan, China and India My main skills include: • Consultancy • Programme facilitation (mainly soft skills; presentation, train to train, sales etc) • Learning Design • Coaching • Leadership Development • Management Development • Career Development • Personal development • Performance Management • Employee engagement What does TD Learning Consultancy offer? TDLC has been set up to help SME’s develop skills and sustainable learning in the fields of: • Leadership capability • Management skills • Soft skills • Coaching • Performance management • Employee engagement • Change management To maintain quality standards, TDLCI will evaluate the results of training with clients and suggest ways to help learners to retain and utilise the learning obtained, via a survey and metrics process. How will your business benefit? I will help your businesses to improve how your leaders and managers develop your people, which will deliver profit growth, increased engagement and a reduction in staff turnover. My own evaluation process will be offered as part of any programme, which will provide data around four key stages of learning and more importantly, how the learning is being at applied work. This will be shared with clients and used to help managers as a coaching and ROI tool.

Main Achievements: • Project Managed implementation of leadership mindsets programme within Supply Chain • Developing coaching and mentoring blended learning approaches to develop supply chain line managers • Working with senior managers and executives in a 121 coaching capacity • Managing L&D budget 2004 – 2005 - Coors Brewers – UK National: Operations Support Manager - Technical Services - Managed the central operations team, during a time when this department was under review for outsourcing. Main Achievements: • Project Managed transition to scheduling workload • Designed and delivered management and change programmes to ensure morale and operational efficiency were maintained during change • Negotiated settlement with 2 competitors over 5 years of disputed asset management, saving CBL £5 million 2005 - 2007 Coors Brewers – UK National: Learning and Development Manager – central functions - L&D manager for Finance, IS, Legal, HR, Technical Services and Business Services. Main Achievements: • Introduced learning metrics to measure 5 levels of organizational learning • Brought in SFIA as a learning tool for IS • Introduced a companywide development portfolio called “Maximizing Excellence” to central functions • Chaired the Finance Development Board • Project managed CBL’s accreditation with CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW and ICAS • Took over management of graduate programme, partnering with Nottingham Trent University • Key in devising and delivering leadership mindsets programme and subsequent cascade in the business • Working with L&D colleagues, devised and delivered business partner workshops for HR • Devised, developed and delivered a 4 module line manager capability programme. • Managing the L&D budget 1998 – 2004 - Coors Brewers – UK National: Learning & Development Manager - Customer Service & Sales - Direct responsibility for L&D covering 300 operators and managers over 3 call centres. Main Achievements: • Devised in-house e-learning programme to manage continual inductions • Set up coach training and monitoring for line managers • Devised, delivered and evaluated a management development programme for the call centres. 1997 – 1998 - Bass Brewers - North West Commercial Manager - Responsible for the regions free trade lending budget, loan book and debt at risk. Acted as advisor to sales director for financial strategy and developed and ran an understanding finance programme for sales people. 1995 – 1997 - Bass Brewers - London Field Sales Trainer –Responsible for all aspects of sales training for the Regional sales team. Developed innovative induction process for Account managers and designed and ran induction and sales training programmes. Also Coached account managers in the field. 1985 – 1995 - Bass Brewers - London Account Manager - Account Manager for the key Central London free trade patch, Managed annual turnover of £15 million and turned declining sales patch into key strategic area for new product marketing. Also accountable for loan finance, credit and business planning. 1983 – 1985 - Fenwick’s Ltd - Brent Cross, London Floor Manager - Floor manager of cook shop and fashion: full departmental management, buying and people management 1980 – 1983 - Sainsbury PLC - Golders Green, London Section Manager - Department manager of fruit & veg, managing stock control and 7 staff.
