AIDS Mapping- GIS Application Development
The custom application has been designed to provide mapping of population vulnerable to HIV/AIDS in the state of Orissa. The different target groups have been identified by specific symbols. The key features included the ability to generate user-defined queries based on different criteria such as volume of target group, presence of NGO's, Condom Availability etc. The query result was displayed on the digitized map of Orissa allowing the end user to view the results over a geographical span at the state, district or block levels.
