Uninstall FishPig Wordpress from Magento Site

We have an e-commerce website built on a Magento Community platform (version 1.9.2.4). It currently has a Wordpress blog on the root domain that was integrated using the FishPig extension (version 3.0.34.0). Initially, we wanted the blog to match the layout of our Magento theme (Argento Pure). Now, however, there is some Wordpress functionality that we want to use on blog posts and pages that the FishPig integration does not support. Consequently, we want to uninstall FishPig and install the normal Wordpress integration. We need to retain the database and URL structure, so that everything (posts, pages, categories, social votes, SEO, images, etc) fully populates the new installation once it's up and running, and that the only thing that changes is the theme appearance. We will then decide on a new theme and customize accordingly.
