Search and Filter Pro Modification for Postcodes (WordPress)

We currently use a form to search/filter a Custom Post Type. We need the functionality modified to display a UK postcode field that can be (optionally) entered when commencing a search (but which is not used/ignored for the search) and which will then display the distance from their current location against the results matching the other search terms
- ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) to store the location meta for each custom post
- Will need to install a library or function to perform postcode lookup and calculate the distance between two UK postcodes
- The other distance will be the user's postcode, entered at point of search but not submitted to the search function - stored as a cookie?
- Needs to integrate with Search and Filter Pro visually
- If possible we would like to cache local postcode calculations to speed up performance - searches will be UK wide but the majority within a specific area. Ideally data should be stored outside of the WordPress posts/postmeta table for better performance
Search form:
Existing Search form is displayed, along with postcode field that visually appears to be part of it but isn't inside the form
On submission of form to search plugin (Search and Filter Pro), a cookie with postcode is set and rest of search/filter allowed to proceed normally (advise if other methods may be suitable)
On listings display:
Front end function to check if postcode cookie is set and if so display "{xx} miles from {postcode}", we will integrate with templates
DB:
Currently there is only one sales location so a lot of the calculations will be similar. Cache these in the DB for better performance
