Marketplace Growth & Business Outreach Specialist (Pet Industry) About PetsAgile PetsAgile is an international platform for discovering, comparing, and promoting pet-related businesses, including pet groomers, dog walkers, pet sitters, trainers, veterinarians, boarding providers, pet photographers, pet shops, and other pet professionals. Our mission is to help pet owners easily find trustworthy businesses while giving pet professionals an effective platform to present their services and grow their online presence. Our initial target market is the United Kingdom, with future expansion planned across additional countries. Project Goal We are not simply looking for someone to add businesses to a database. We are looking for a long-term partner who can help us build a repeatable and scalable system for discovering, verifying, listing, and activating pet businesses. Success will not be measured only by the number of listings created. It will be measured by: Data quality Listing completeness Accuracy Consistency Process improvement Ability to build a repeatable marketplace growth system Key Responsibilities 1. Business Research & Discovery Identify active, high-quality pet businesses. Research businesses using official and trustworthy sources. Verify all publicly available business information. Discover new research sources and opportunities. 2. Listing Creation Create complete business listings inside PetsAgile. This includes: Correct business category Correct location hierarchy Verified address Phone number Email Website Social media links Business hours Business description Business logo Representative image Additional official images where available Category-specific services Accepted pet types Relevant business features Home Service Options (where applicable) Other category-specific custom fields All information must be verified using official sources whenever possible. 3. Business Outreach Create professional outreach emails. Invite businesses to claim their profiles. Follow up with businesses. Organize outreach lists. Track responses and engagement. 4. Process Improvement We are looking for someone who thinks beyond the immediate task. Examples include: Finding better research sources. Improving verification workflows. Suggesting automation opportunities. Improving outreach performance. Recommending scalable processes. Listing Quality Standard A listing is not considered complete simply because basic information has been entered. Each listing must be manually reviewed and completed according to the PetsAgile Listing Standard. Whenever information is available from official sources, each listing should include: Business logo Representative image Additional official images where available Business description Website Phone number Email address Social media profiles Business hours Correct business category Correct location hierarchy Verified address Relevant category-specific services Accepted pet types Relevant business features Home Service Options (where applicable) Any other relevant category-specific fields Only information that can be verified from official sources should be added. Data Quality Requirements We are looking for quality rather than quantity. Every business must: Be active. Have a genuine online presence. Be manually researched. Be manually verified. Not be duplicated. Contain verified business information. Follow the PetsAgile Listing Quality Standard. AI tools may be used to assist research, but manual verification is mandatory. Official Sources Business information should be verified using, where available: Official website Google Business Profile Official Facebook page Official Instagram profile Official LinkedIn page Other official business sources If information differs between sources, use the most reliable and verifiable source. Images Whenever available from official sources, listings should include: Business logo One representative image Additional official business images Only official business images should be used. Stock images should not be used. FAQs FAQs should not be added automatically. Only include FAQs when the business provides genuinely useful, business-specific information through official sources. If no meaningful FAQs exist, leave the FAQ section empty. Required Skills Excellent written English Business research Lead generation Data verification WordPress Directory websites Marketplace platforms Attention to detail Experience with: Google Sheets Excel Airtable is preferred. Automation Experience with: Make n8n Zapier is considered an advantage. Programming experience is not required. Required Information in Your Proposal Please explain: How would you identify the first 100 pet businesses? Which official sources would you use? How would you verify business information? How would you prevent duplicate listings? How would you organize outreach? How would you measure campaign success? How would you improve the process over time? Which parts of the workflow could be automated? Required Sample Applicants must submit a sample of 10 UK pet businesses. The sample should demonstrate: Research quality Verification quality Listing completeness Attention to detail We are interested in quality rather than quantity. Communication Weekly updates should include: Businesses researched Listings created Emails prepared or sent Responses received Problems encountered Improvement suggestions Pilot 1 Budget: €30 Fixed Price Deliverables Research and verify 100 UK pet businesses. Create complete PetsAgile listings. Verify all available business information. Prevent duplicate listings. Create one outreach email sequence. Organize outreach lists. Submit a short report. Provide recommendations for process improvement. Important: Pilot 1 will only be considered complete after the listings have passed a quality review. Listings requiring corrections must be revised before final approval. Pilot 2 Budget: €50 Fixed Price Deliverables Research an additional 300 verified businesses. Create complete listings. Continue outreach preparation. Submit a results report. Recommend further improvements and automation opportunities. Total Project Budget €80 Payment will be made only after the successful delivery, review, and approval of each project phase.
