I have a Word 2003 macro which I need converting to work under Word 2010. The Word 2003 macro works fine as intended and I can make this available.
The current macro is a .dot file. This creates a button on the word toolbar. When pressed the macro pops up a Word form. Some site config data is read from a local .ini file, popup fields on the form are specified by an http call, (so they can be changed centrally), a copy of the word file is saved using a unique GUID filename, then the macro shells out to WinSCP to transmit the file by FTPs to a server. There are a few other checks, like checking the client has a network connection, checking max file size to ftp, sending an acknowledgement or error message etc but basically thats it, macro, press a button, up pops a form with a few drop downs, the user selects and submits and the word file gets FTPs to a server.
At the server there's a process running to scan the ftp directory for newly arrived files and process them.
