We are in the business of collecting used clothing in USA. For this purpose we have deployed donation boxes in public locations like super markets, major intersections, petrol-pumps etc. The typical donation box has dimension of 5’(H) x 4’(L) x 4’(W). In USA when the people discard their used clothing, typically they put the clothing in plastic bags and put these bags in clothing donation boxes near their [url removed, login to view] would like to install weighing scale with SMS/GSM terminal in our collection boxes which sends weight in the box to our central server.
We would want your help to design and develop a working prototype of above GSM/SMSterminal, with following conditions:-
1. The SMS Module/Terminal should be able to operate with 3G network.
2. The system ONLY needs to send SMS. Voice or data transmission is NOT required.
3. The module should be able to send a SMS with weight in the box every hour to our central system.
4. The system configuration should be optimised for reliability and low power consumption.
5. It would be desirable that the GSM Module has GPS feature to trace the donation box in case of a theft.
6. It should also send SMS when someone opens doors of the box.
7. Terminal should have multiple Analog/Digital Inputs so that it be attached with more than one scales.
We need this terminal with Cinterion PH8 module.we will provide all hardware (e.g Load cell,solar panels,charge controller,GSM/SMS Cinterion PH8 module) which is required to develop the working prototype of the terminal.
In addition to above requirements we also require:
• Routine SMS: The system should send SMS every 1hour with following details:
o Box Id (5 digit Numeric ID)
o Weight (in pounds)
o GPS coordinates
• Geo-fencing alarm: In case the module is in motion and if there is movement of 10 meters or more:
o Then there should be SMS sent every 1 minute with current GPS coordinates.
o It should activate a sound alarm.
• Weight Change: After the weight has changed and if the change is more than 2 pounds then the system should send a SMS with the current weight after 30 seconds of stabilizing weight.
• Door Open/Close: When the door is opened a SMS should be sent, also another SMS should be sent 10 seconds after the door is closed.
• Low Battery: In case the battery falls below 10% there should be battery low alert.
• This complete system should work as 1 box, also it should have provision to take inputs (load cell and door button) from 4 more boxes. Example, there is a possibility that we place 1 to 4 more boxes adjacent to box that has this complete system. For sake of convenience, we can call the box with complete system as “Mother Box” and additional boxes kept along with this box as “Child Boxes”. The Child Boxes will only have load cell and door button (it will not have solar panel or battery). The output from the child boxes can be attached to the Mother Box, which will act as a central system to send above information for Child Boxes as well.
We will consider the project complete only when all below conditions are fulfilled:
• We have a working prototype
• We have the complete circuit diagram
• We have programming source code
we can also use Cinterion MC55i with extra GPS Module instead of PH8.
