This is a repost of an earlier project - with more clarifications around supported phone profiles and deliverables.
The goal of the circuit is to be able to have an Android and IPhone 4S app connect to it. Depending on the presence of the BT module, it is validate by MAC or data token exchange, the application will do other things.
The circuit should serve a very simple purpose - an IPhone 4S or Android mobile phone will issue a connection to this device, and if the connection is successful the mobile phone will check the MAC address of the BT, or will exchange a piece of data in order to authenticate it, and it will close the connection allowing the BT module to go to sleep mode in order to reduce the battery consumption.
The connection will be issued every 3 [url removed, login to view] circuit should be able to answer connection calls, in the earlier mentioned conditions, for at least 2 months without a battery change or re-charge.
IPhone 4S uses BT LE. BT LE on IPhone doesn't require the presence of the authentication chip.
For Android BT 2.0 should be supported.
The circuit should be delivered in a case.
I would be interested in a price for the design of such a circuit and for producing 2 for IPhone 4s, based on BT LE, and 2 for Android, based on a BT 2.0.
