This could be an exciting project for the right developer(s). The product itself is awesome to use and a lot of fun, but it requires a UI overhaul. The product is a complex and very capable "collaboration" tool that supports:
- HD Video Streaming to/from multiple participants
- VoIP Audio + Telephony
- Desktop/App Sharing
- Cloud Based Content Sharing
- Contacts Management
All of the technology behind these services is not the concern of the developer(s) to be hired. What is needed is someone who can take a detailed UI GFX specification and build all the windows/panels and dialogs and do it in such a way that all can be turned over to the development team here and wired up to our code. It is up to you to tell us how you would abstract this "UI layer" and present it in a way that it can be wired up fairly easily.
This will require deep knowledge of OSX because the panels and dialogs have a completely customized look and feel including:
- Titlebar and titlebar buttons
- Panel/Dialog body color
- Footer color
- Button colors
All required GFX/button states, etc. will supplied by a UI design team on this side. A bonus will be given to the developer who can use or create a UI framework that can also be used in Windows-7 and 8. QT or Webkit might be possibilities here, but we want to design one UI for for both platforms that have identical look and feel. Think of "Spotify" as an example. The app must look almost identical on both Mac and Windows. The primary focus right now however is Mac OSX, 10.7.4 and higher.
