I need a wristband with a long battery life and a precise location utilizing whatever resources are available I.e. GPS cell towers, for outdoor identification and open wifi as well (for indoor or outdoor) as any other sources that might be openly available for tracking.
Similar to how Google tracks your movement via your phone and can tell you where you have been, I need this wristband to essentially do the same along with a web application to configure and manage multiple devices (assigning names to each wristband, so that individual identification can be established as well as any other configurations necessary)
I want to be able to put this wristband on a student and track them throughout the school (I will want to be able to make a map of the school and surrounding area for a visual). If they are out on the playground I want to be able to identify where on the palyground they are or if they are in the lunchroom I want to be able to know which table they may be sitting at, so the more precise we can identify location the better.
I would like to set the wristband to be able to read independently at different intervals.
As frequently as every 30 seconds or as long as every 15 minutes. Consideration for these settings should be independent per wristband so that we don;t have 50 wristbands all trying to send their information at the same time and colliding causing data loss.
I would like to be able to use the control panel to not only configure each wristband but also to be able to do reporting both on paper, as well as visually. I want to be able to mouse trail where they have been. Query by day with potential for making the query larger or smaller in time period in the future. (i.e. last two hours or last three days). Additionally I would like to be able to select rooms or areas and get a count of traffic flow in that area for a time range, i.e. a graph that shows every 5 minutes or every 15 minutes the number of people (and who) were in that designated area for the query range.
If the wristband has additional features like messaging or even two way voice that would be cool to have too and would leave things open for further development as needed. General messaging (return to cafeteria) or (weather advisory) might be one that is sent out to all or a group of students. Or if individual messaging could be done from a main console that would be cool too.
I am open to ideas and questions.
