Build Website for Page-a -Day project
Budget $750-1500 USD
I’m looking for a designer/developer with an expertise in WordPress, but I’m not wedded to that idea. A plus would be if that person has an artistic flair and a love or knowledge of Africa and/or Black American culture. Specifically, they shld know how/where to download Adinkra ideograms or some other Afro-centric symbol that will be incorporated into entires on the Website.
I own three domain names and I want them all to converge on the same content page. I need someone to design that initial landing page/home page/splash page - so that it ultimately links to the following sections:
1) The main page – a daily quote from my page-a-day series of inspirational books, Black Pearls. The site would be programmed to change everyday at 5 am, Eastern time. (I have all the pages typed in Word.) This page would link readers to Websites where they can purchase my books, and a way to subscribe to the online meditations to get them automatically. Here’s a link to a copy of the book on Amazon.

Skip the Intro and go right to “FAITH” the first of the meditations that would will change daily to BLACK IDENTITY, POSITIVE THINKING, Etc.
2) A “Welcome/Introduction” section link
3) A “search” mechanism so readers can easily look for specific topics, people or dates on my Website.
4 ) A link that connects to a PDF or Word version of my novella.
5) A “merch” section, a second place to buy my books and other merchandize as it become available.
6) A section with links to my previously published periodical articles and essays
7) A curated “share” page where readers can fill out a form to create their own inspirational contributions. (This page would also have a terms and conditions for contributors page.)
8) A link that connects to recipes from my cookbook.
9) A community board where the Website’s community can interact with each other.
I imagine afore mentioned project would be constructed section by section, but I’d like the temporally empty slots to read “Coming” or some such to let visitors know that content is on its way.
My priorities are first, 1,2 and 3; then 4 &5; then 6; then 7; and finally, 8 & 9.
If possible, please provide a link to your previous work.
Thank you - Eric
