BigCommerce Cart & Checkout Process UI Optimization / re- design for consumer ecommerce website.

Craftables ([login to view URL]) is looking for an expert BigCommerce web designer/web developer to redesign our shopping cart & checkout. Individual freelancers or agencies encouraged to apply. Prefer US-based applicants. The current design is largely “out of the box”, and we believe that some modifications to the UI would improve the customer experience, reduce friction & cart abandonment. Our primary objective is to improve our conversion rate (under 2% now). We have created some PowerPoint mockups that show the current cart and checkout. They show what we like and don’t like. It also includes mockups for the redesigned cart and checkout. These mockups are intended to convey the “vision” for a redesign, as well as a checklist for elements we want included or improved in the redesign. When we say “redesign”, we mean that the changes we want are mostly cosmetic in nature – although, we are also open to suggestions. To be clear, the mockups we’ve created are meant to serve as a requirements checklist – we are not saying, “here is the mockup, just duplicate this exactly”. This will probably be an iterative process, because we have not yet implemented some of the elements. For example, we have recently added new payment methods (Amazon Pay and Apple Pay), and their presentation needs to be improved. In the near future, we will also want to incorporate certain trust logos, but have not yet contracted with or integrated them. Your deliverables will include: 1) time estimate, 2) mockups and 3) implementation. We will want to see your mockups before implementation. Our customer base leans towards mobile usage (57%). So, the design must be mobile-friendly, and will be evaluated on Android and iOS phones and tablets, as well as desktop.
