I currently have a website which uses an old - but very customizable CMS software - called Article Manager from Interactive Tools. I am looking to switch to WordPress now and I have a theme already in mind.
The current Article Manager CMS powers my website, and native mobile apps from XML files. I have different XML files for each mobile app - iPhone, iPad, Android, and BlackBerry. Again, these are NATIVE APPS, and not web apps.
Since the CMS powers basically 5 items - all 4 mobile apps and website - I have quite a few extra fields when I come to post an article.
The most important of these fields are the embed media which are all different for each mobile device. I have five custom fields currently, all titled Embed Web, Embed iPhone, Embed iPad, Embed BlackBerry, and Embed Android.
Obviously if you load the site, it will only show the Embed Web, and if you load the iPad app, it will only load the Embad iPad part. This is all done through XML calling certain fields.
I need to modify the basic WordPress to have the same thing. Embedded media HTML codes (pictures, videos, sound, etc) will appear in these custom fields and displayed accordingly depending on what device you access it. When I go to post a new article, I want 5 other text boxes to input codes along with the main area where the body of the article resides. Screenshot of current CMS is attached
