I am planning on starting a personal finance blog and will require someone to help with the creation of the website. The site will essentially be a blog of personal finance ideas, tips and recommendations. Articles will be posted by myself every 3-4 days and as such I will require a format that is easy to navigate. The articles will be using only text and a few pictures. No video is required. I am hoping to use wordpress for the blog. Below is a list of requirements I will need:
- ability for viewers to interact (ie. comments on articles)
- site counter (private view only) with analytics
- main page showing latest content, links, etc
- header on top of the main page showing the title, logo, links to ‘about’ section, archives, free stuff, contact, must read, etc.
- archives page where users can scroll through previously posted articles
- google search bar within the site in which users can search for specific items within the site
- ability to create a mailing list users can sign up for which would deliver the new content on the blog in the form of an email automatically as the content is posted on the website
- separate privacy policy for website (link at the bottom)
- copyright and disclaimer info at bottom of page
- articles sorted by different sections based on article topic
- ability to be edited easily using only word format and pictures
- eye catching header and graphic on main page
- ability to have advertisements throughout the page (limited to sidebar ads)
- search engine optimization
- “Popular Topics” link on right hand side showing links to the most visited articles (continually updated based on most visited articles)
- Social media integration directly on homepage with automatic update of facebook page each time a new article is posted
Keep in mind that I do not need hosting. I only require the website itself to be created.
