We request an intial website setup for a new magazine distribution company. Generally speaking approx. 25 magazine titles to start with images, captions and summaries. Magazine titles to be divided into categories. This would be Step 1.
Simple yet elegant graphics including but not limited to presentation of the magazine covers we sell and solicit.
Step 2. Would be where the user has the option to purchase a subscription to the magazine. A generic order form is generated and sent to a pre-determined email address. NO online "shopping cart" needed, yet! We would require a single DB to maintain records of clients you have utilized and/or requested the service.
We've tried a few "canned" packages and were not happy with the layouts and "typical" look. We would like the site to be a bit on the eclectic side, not typical. So a bit of creavity is a must. Some FLASH work would be great.
The company already has logos made, as well as conceptual long term growth ideas.
The end goal of this site would be as follows:
1. To allow customers to browse our magazine selections.
2. Purchase individual copies or subscribe to the magazine.
3. In the very near future provide, our suppliers with access to our databases which are currently maintained in MS Access, with sales, distribution and comparison reports. These reports are being developed right now and with will be requesting the web development of these shortly. Setup FTP access for our larger clients to upload/download data. Web security will be needed.
