DOWNLITE just released a new youtube video that showcases energy savings by using a down comforter. With so many 'green' articles being written we figured it was time to shed light on a real energy saver that goes 'beyond the light bulb'. The trutch is that a typical down comoforter can easily allow you to lower your thermostat 5 degrees plus (And for every one degree a thermostat is lowered - you can receive a 3 percent savings on your heating bill). With energy consumption and conservation so important in everyone's eyes - it made sense for DOWLITE to create a video to promote the savings. Being that no one likes to be lectured to we wanted to do something fun and creative - so we made a political spoof ad mocking both Obama and McCain - basically touting the real 'energy solution'.
We literally just released the video on YouTube and want help to spread the word on the video in a white hat and ethical SEO format.
So basically we want PR and Web Promotion experts to bid on a project to get it blasted on the internet and hopefully covered by bloggers, environmental blogs, newspapers, magazines, etc...of course with a main focus of getting web links and visitors pointing at the video.
We have a small budget for this project and would love to receive a formal plan and quote on how you would take this gig and run with it.
Keeping in mind that the ad goes stale after the elections - we need a project going live within days.
We prefer American based firms for this grassroots PR effort.
