Minimalist Poetry Website Build

I want to put my poetry online in a clean, distraction-free space that feels as carefully edited as the words themselves. The visual direction is firmly minimalist: plenty of white space, a muted palette, legible type, and nothing that pulls focus away from the text. Core pages will include a landing page that features the newest poem, an archive where visitors can browse previous work, and an “About the Poet” section. Each poem needs its own dedicated URL so I can share links easily on social media or email. Reader interaction matters to me, but only in a controlled way. A simple comment section beneath each poem is enough—no likes or stars. Moderation tools (approve, delete, block) should be accessible from the back-end so I keep the conversation constructive. I often pair certain pieces with a single supporting image, so an image uploader and the ability to position or toggle that image per poem must be built in. No audio or video is necessary right now. The finished site must: • Follow the minimalist design direction described above • Let me add, edit, and delete poems (and their images) without touching code • Include a secure, spam-filtered comment system • Be responsive and fast on mobile as well as desktop If you can deliver a lightweight CMS (WordPress, Ghost, or a modern static-site workflow with Netlify CMS—whichever keeps maintenance low) along with clear deployment instructions, that would be ideal.
