I need a strong male voice.
I need someone to read this short script for a video I am making for this Sunday....
In Psalm 34:3, the Psalmist invites others to “magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” But what exactly does that mean?
We have seen scientists magnify insects. We have seen detectives magnify fingerprints. We have seen doctors magnify blood cells, but how do we magnify God?
When we magnify something, we make it bigger than it really is so that we can get a better view, but we can’t magnify God this way. We can’t make him bigger than he already is. There is nothing…no one that is greater than God.
When we magnify God, we magnify him not with a microscope, but with a telescope and we discover 3 realties:
His Size. He is bigger than we thought he was.
Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool:
His Scope. He is closer than we thought he was.
Psalm 139:9-10 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
His Strength. He is stronger than we thought
Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the
earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:
This year, let’s take a bigger, greater, deeper, look at God. Let’s seek to gain a greater awareness of his size, scope, and strength in our lives and let’s exalt his name together so that others may come to Magnify Him.
