I have an Excel Add-In DLL file, code written in VB 6, last compiled 11/21/2017. This Add-In has been working for a while for many users without any issue. Recently I installed (copied) this DLL on a new laptop/desktop and registered it and no error generated. Everything done as a matter of routine. However, when I tried to include this DLL in Automation Server using
File > Options > Add-Ins > Go > Automation > Browse
Select C:\Windows\SysWOW64\[login to view URL]
I got this message. “The file you selected does not contain a new Automation Server, or you do not have sufficient privileges to register the Automation Server.”
I am suspecting something has changed in ongoing Windows updating process. Do you have any idea, and I am sure you do, what is missing or how to make it work to include this Automation Server?
