I need a little windows-based program that will take a directory structure of .txt files and do the following to them: 1) Correct each text file so that each line wraps properly (I don't want the hard paragraph marks in the middle of sentences. But the paragraph marks should still separate the paragraphs.) 2) Allow me to enter a list of words/exact phrases and if any of those words/exact phrases appear in the beginning or ending of the text, the whole line will be deleted. 3) Allow me to enter a list of words/exact phrases and if any of those words/exact phrases appear in any of the text, the word/exact phrase will be deleted. 4) If the word “End” appears in ending of text (only in the last lines), every line after the “End” line will be deleted. 5) Add a line of text to the beginning of the file. (Line of text then 2 paragraph marks to the actual beginning of the file.) 6) Add a second line to the very end of the file. The new text will be saved in a single directory with its original name. A comma- or tab-delimited file will be created with the name of the file and the director hierarchy it appeared in. Example. Text Title, Main Directory, Sub-Directory1, Sub-Directory2, Sub-Directory3 This is for internal use only, so its interface does not need to be “pretty.” Source code is required in case of changes.
Based in London, have done alot of data manipulation both in DB and text files. The work will be done with .Net.
