I approach any project like this from 3 perspectives: (1.) The Marketing angle(s) – not so much with regards to sales and etc, but true market-ability – I hold a degree in Marketing and have created plenty of Marketing Plans. It needs to work that way before anything else – good photos/video and subject matter and etc just does not matter if it is not approached with a good Marketing base – and you are off to a very good start. (2.) The Overall “Feel” – is it (the production/web site) inviting – not informational but something you may just want to look at again and again because some draws you back – something funny, something beautiful, something intriguing – whatever – our area has a lot to offer that way – properly captured, you have no problems with this. (3.) Is it a good sells piece or is it a piece that should be set sailing? It has to have the close (that makes the $$’s) in every category that is spotlighted – so that independently and collectively whoever is watching will want to take (and know how to take that) action for follow-up and getting the sale. I am not a newbie. I worked professionally for 15 years in the radio, television, cable, movies industries. And yes, in actual production and using all the same sorts of equipment I use today. After all that professional experience, I have continued in doing various forms of the same work but now for folks like you for over 41 years. Currently, I am a regular contributor to a New York based, well known and large multi-media marketing company as well as produce, direct and edit independent productions including reality shows, documentaries, commercials/infomercials, tfcd, and various other things utilizing both 3 cc technology video and over 10 mega pixel digital photography. I use various forms of media (video, audio, computer based training modules, Power Point presentations, web design, photography and so, so much more) as the tools and instruments in my work. My equipment consist of a 3.4 Ghz Pentium processor with 2 Gigabytes of memory, 2640 gigabytes of hard drive storage, 512 megabyte video card and 2 CD burners & 1 DVD burner plus a Turtle Beach video interface port board. I have several video editing programs – all with plenty of effects, transitions, music beds and pools and titles. I can produce for any format – avi, flv, mov, mpeg, mpg, and others. My camera is a Sony DCR VX-2100 – 3 chip Professional Digital Video Camera and 3 tripods, I have wireless mics and some lighting. I have a 2 deck professional Technics cassette deck, a 4 channel Teac A-2340 Reel to Reel, A Professional grade Panasonic VHS, a audio mixer and sampler box and a flat bed scanner capable of scanning up to 200 x 2400 dpi. I have a studio microphone and mic stand and goose neck. My still cameras are 2 Pentax SLRs (28mm to 500 mirror) and 1 Fuji DSLR (10 mega pixels max) 28mm to 105mm.
