I’m putting together a detailed cultural record of how South Indian traditional music and dance thrive across Karnataka today. My aim is to preserve these living art forms for local residents, presented in a tone and style that feels authentic rather than tourist-oriented. Here’s what I need from you: • Capture on-site performances and rehearsals—high-quality video (HD or better) plus clean audio of at least three distinct music or dance styles. • A bank of 30+ well-composed photographs, each captioned with artist name, venue, style and date. • A concise, 2,000-word narrative article that traces the origins, evolution and present-day context of each form, supported by interviews with practicing artists or scholars. • One metadata sheet (CSV/Excel) tagging every visual and audio asset for easy archiving. Your proposal should outline the towns or villages you plan to cover, the gear you’ll bring (DSLR, audio recorder, stabilizer, etc.), and a realistic timeline. Familiarity with Carnatic music, Yakshagana, Dollu Kunitha or similar local traditions will stand out, as will Kannada-language skills for on-site interviews and captions. By the end of the project I want a cohesive package—video, images, and written narrative—that local audiences can watch, read and share with pride. If you’re passionate about documenting culture on location and can deliver polished, well-organized assets, I’d love to see how you plan to approach this assignment.

Having spent significant time in Karnataka myself, I am already deeply familiar with the state's rich cultural tapestry and I have tremendous admiration for its traditional music and dance forms. I believe this direct experience gives me an edge over other candidates, as not only am I conversant in Kannada, but also deeply knowledgeable about the Carnatic music, Yakshagana, Dollu Kunitha and other similar local traditions you aim to document. As a student researcher and writer, I've honed my skills in capturing soulful stories and weaving them into narratives that engage the reader- just as you require for this project. Moreover, with my proficiency in using DSLR cameras for powerful visuals and crisp audio recorders for clean audio reproduction, I can efficiently deliver high-quality videos and well-composed photographs - all captioned meticulously as per your specifications. I understand that your intention is to present an authentic record of these art forms rather than one that feels tourist-oriented. Being a native and having a pulse on the local culture enable me to offer nuanced insights that can do justice to your vision. Furthermore, my training in business planning ensures an organized approach from my end, delivering not only captivating visual materials but also profound written narratives. By choosing me for this project , you are hiring an enthusiastic cultural ambassador who will capture the essence of Karnataka's music and dance with élan.

Hello, Your project immediately caught my attention because this is more than simply recording performances — it’s about preserving the culture, people, stories, and traditions behind South Indian music and dance. I can help you create a polished, authentic documentary package covering performances, rehearsals, artist interviews, photography, audio, and written storytelling. What I can deliver: -High-quality video of performances and rehearsals, with carefully composed shots and smooth camera movement. -30+ professionally composed photographs, properly captioned with artist, venue, style, and date. -Clean, usable audio recording of at least 3 distinct traditional music/dance styles. -~2,000-word narrative article covering the origins, evolution, and present-day cultural significance of each tradition. -Organized CSV/Excel metadata sheet for easy archival and future use. -Professional editing and post-production to bring everything together into one cohesive cultural record. I would approach the project systematically — planning locations and shoots in advance, recording interviews carefully, maintaining consistent file organization, and ensuring every visual/audio asset is properly documented. I’m ready to put both creativity and attention to detail into this project and create something that local audiences can genuinely connect with and be proud to share. Let's preserve these traditions through a story that feels authentic, not staged.** Thank you, Raj Rathod
