I would like to develop an FPGA board to drive 4K x 2K LCD displays.
The device will have
1 x DisplayPort 1.2 input (4 lanes at [url removed, login to view] max 4096 x 2400)
LVDS output (upto 8-channels at 10-bit)

You job is to write a feasibilty study for creating such a board. You will have to investigate available hardware, IP cores and consider the FPGA footprint and I/O requirements.
8ch LVDS = 4 groups of 2-ch LVDS = 48 differential pairs total.
DisplayPort Sink Core --> FrameBuffer --> Split frame into 4 horizontally (ie 1024x2160) --> 4 x 2-ch LVDS.
