Need help to connect dongle key 3G in CentOS properly with the right drive and udev rules.
Our company is situated in Belgium.
We improves serious problem to connect dongle key 3G (Huwaei dongle key, sold usually by Vodaphone)
This problem has occured with various harware.
Linux CentOS 6.x doesn't seems to no possess the appropriate drive
in order to use those dongle keys 3G as a modem.
As we use generally Linux CentOS for various tasks, we do not want to use others version of Linux (Ubunto, Debian or others)
We ave a dongle key ready for the tests.
1°) Connect a dongle keys 3G properly as a modem, using the rigth drive and udev rules,
or recompiling the linux system (if needed).
2°) Use udev rules, in order to assign to this dongle key 3G modem a specific name
3°) Test if asterisk recognize this dongle key 3G
4°) Prepare a udev rule in order to manage several dongle keys 3G, making them recognized by IMEI number.
(we have a udev rules ready to test)
5°) Send us a full report of what you have done
Strong knowledge of Linux CentOS 6.x 32 and 64 bits
Proven deep knowledge of sysf and linux available drives for USB devices
Proven deep knowledge of udev
Proven deep knowledge of recompiling Linux system (if needed to solve the problem)
Past Use of dongle keys 3G from Huwaei & Vodaphone on linux Operating Systems
Basic knowledge and use of asterisk (already installed)
How to take action ?
We will provides you a access with Teamviewer on the Linux test machine.
If several reboot is needed, we will send you the new Teamviewer's pswd.

I succeed to see the ttyUSB*, but I am not satisfied of the results.
I was obliged to use a .sh files to launch usb_modeswitch and modprobe with the required parameters
A single dongle 3G USB-key shows four ttyUSB*
It would interesting for us to use in /etc/udev/udev.rules
some file wich definitively assign SYMLINK names for each dongle USB-key and indicate clearly what is audio channel and what is the data channel
Moreover, a test dongle is not recognized (for the moment) by his imei code as required in /etc/asterisk/dongle.conf

I have already deployed dozens of huawei dongle modems on asterisk that work as a gsm gateway, I have more than 5 years working with asterisk+mysql+php+linux
I've done a job like this before, using modems Huawei. Already build servers with 30 modems simultaneously using chan_dongle, and powered usb hub. In some cases we need to recompile chan dongle. I can make asterisk Plus
Have done this previously with different Linux distributions. Some dongles are not supported by CentOS. Please provide details of the models used and which version of Asterisk is required.
