Referring strictly to your urgent project, will be necessary to know the following: 1 - (of course) the drawings/sketches for the part your client needs to be designed 2 - usage area - it is a consumer good, it is food grade, it is for pets, etc - depending on this the proper material will be suggested 3 - which is the production target? depending on this, the design could have different variation (for the same purpose) which to fit better for small runs or mass production 4 - as long as the client only have the 2d drawings, it is really the best step to go for molding? wouldn't be better in the first place to go for prototyping?... having a fully functional prototype will save a lot of money in the case the client wants some modifications, adjustments, changes...
