I already have the full cutting-tool and workpiece assembly modelled in SolidWorks. What I now need is a complete machining simulation run in SimScale (or another explicit FEA package you can justify). The cutter is solid carbide and it engages a nickel-silver workpiece. The end goal is to understand the physical response of the cut, so the simulation must clearly capture: • chip formation as the material shears off, • the stress field that builds up in both tool and workpiece, and • the accompanying temperature distribution throughout the cut. Please bring in reliable material models suitable for high-strain-rate metal cutting, apply appropriate boundary conditions, choose a mesh that balances accuracy with runtime, and document every assumption you make. Deliverables • The fully set-up SimScale project (or exported solver files) ready for me to open and rerun. • A short report summarising the model, key parameters, mesh metrics, solver settings and any convergence checks. • High-resolution animations of chip formation. • Contour plots and raw data (CSV) for von-Mises stress and temperature at chosen time steps.
