Care Reflect is one of the Great Living solutions developed in the ageing and caring space by The Australian Centre for Social Innovation''s Radical Redesign team-- and it comes from spending the last 6 months with older people, carers and services.
Care Reflect catalyses a radically different way of working for care workers and the people they care for. It provides new sorts of learning experiences, development and inspiration to change what care work means, and how professional care is done.
We are looking for someone to help us capture & document up to five 15-minute audio stories about the relationships between professional care workers and the people they look a?er: Mums, grandparents, neighbours, Uncles.
Care Reflect will draw on a bank of podcasts that care workers will use to gain different perspectives about what good care is. We are looking for someone to help us capture stories of quite specific interactions between care workers & the people they care for in people’s own contexts- living rooms, gardens, coffee shops & GP’s waiting rooms- and they’d have a distinct human interest feel. We want the podcasts to capture & make tangible how professional care can be a meaningful experience- about building relationships, exchanging experiences, and learning new things- even in short interactions like a car ride, cooking a meal or helping someone shower. We have established relationships with a number of care agencies and older people, which you may draw on to create the podcasts.
As far as we know, an audio bank of this sort has not been made before. We ultimately anticipate working with many care agencies across Australia, and these stories being critical to changing the way care is done for thousands of people.
Please have a look at the attached job description if you may be interested, or pass it on to people who you think'd be great!
