I run a busy schedule of trade shows in the Orlando area and need a reliable technician I can call on whenever we roll into town. Your main focus will be keeping our registration operation online and headache-free. What the work looks like • Pre-show bench testing of network gear, computer terminals, and our proprietary registration software/hardware in the warehouse or hotel ballroom. • On-site setup: cabling, router/switch configuration, imaging or re-imaging laptops/kiosks, and confirming every station can reach the show database before doors open. • Live-event coverage: rapid troubleshooting of network drops, frozen terminals, printer jams, and any software hiccups while attendees check in. • Post-show teardown, packing, and fault reporting. Typical gear you’ll touch – Network setup: routers, managed switches, access points, Cat6 cabling, label printers on the LAN. – Computer terminals: Windows-based kiosks, barcode scanners, badge printers, card readers. – Registration software and the custom hardware that goes with it (full training provided). Logistics Jobs are part-time and event-based—usually one to three days per show, often mornings through early afternoon with occasional weekends. You must be local to Orlando, have your own reliable transport, and feel comfortable lifting cases up to 50 lbs. Deliverables for each booking 1. All stations pass our pre-show test script. 2. Zero unresolved network or terminal issues during live hours, or a documented workaround if manufacturer failure occurs. 3. A short post-event report listing any incidents and recommended fixes. If you enjoy learning new event software programs, thrive in fast-paced environments, are flexible, and know your way around small networks and Windows terminals, let’s talk.
