I messed up my Polycom IP 600 phone by following stupid advice from RingCentral customer support that suggested I format it. So I did and the phone is blank now, seemingly without proper firmware.
I downloaded latest firmware from Polycom site, created an FTP on my Android phone, unzipped files there and directed Polycom phone to grab files from there. It did. But still goes into constant reboot cycle non-stop. What triggers it? The phrase "error application not present".
Need to bring the phone back to life and make it work on RingCentral. I have the settings for RingCentral.
Problem is I don't have a Windows computer but even without it, I tried with FTP and files from Popylcom -- to no avail.
Need somebody knowledgeable in this to fix it remotely.
