We are looking for a company or developer that already has a substantially developed tax-compliance platform with working Xero and/or QuickBooks Online integration. This project has two fundamental requirements: 1. You already have the platform We are not looking to build the underlying platform from scratch. Your existing platform should already have infrastructure for: - Xero and/or QuickBooks Online integration - Accounting-data ingestion and normalization - Tax calculations and rules - Compliance outputs - Tax-form generation - Working papers/supporting outputs - Client/tenant management - Audit trail and traceability Please be prepared to demonstrate the existing platform and its working Xero/QBO integration. 2. Your platform can implement Philippine tax The platform does not need to support Philippine tax today. We will provide the Philippine tax-domain requirements, including tax classifications, calculation logic, rates, thresholds, effective dates, forms, mappings, test scenarios, and authoritative requirements. Your role is to implement these requirements within your existing platform. Scope clarification: Our actual requirement is Philippine tax compliance only. We are not asking you to build, prove, or price support for multiple jurisdictions. We ask about configurable tax architecture only to determine whether Philippine tax rules can be implemented within your existing platform without rebuilding the underlying system. Required Output The system must be capable of processing accounting data through the tax calculation and automatically populating the applicable official Philippine tax forms. We are not looking for a system that merely produces calculated figures or reports that users must manually transfer onto the official forms. BIR electronic transmission/e-filing is not required at this stage. The requirement is automated preparation and population of the official forms for human review and submission. What We Need From You Please provide: 1. A live demonstration of your existing platform and working Xero/QBO integration. 2. A demonstration showing accounting data → tax calculation → populated official tax form. 3. An explanation of how Philippine tax rules can be implemented within your existing tax engine. 4. Your source-code/IP ownership or licensing terms, including any restrictions on customization and commercial deployment. 5. Your estimated cost and implementation timeline, based on your assessment of the actual work required. Screening Question Taxpayer registration status — VAT-registered vs. non-VAT — comes from the taxpayer's BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303). This is user-supplied taxpayer-level data, not something derived automatically from Xero/QBO transactions. The tax treatment should remain based on the registered status until the taxpayer's registration information is formally updated. A taxpayer should not be automatically reclassified simply because accounting data crosses a VAT registration threshold. Please answer questions 1 and 2 directly and specifically. A general statement that your platform is "fully configurable" or "flexible" without addressing these two points directly will not be treated as a complete response. 1. How would your platform model a taxpayer-level status field that drives two separate calculation paths (VAT vs. percentage tax)? Please confirm that the tax engine does not automatically reclassify the taxpayer based solely on transaction data. 2. Can your platform identify and flag when a non-VAT taxpayer's revenue approaches or crosses the applicable registration threshold while their registered status remains non-VAT? This should be an advisory exception for human review, not an automatic change to the taxpayer's tax treatment. We are looking for how your existing architecture represents and handles this scenario, not confirmation that your developers could code it. Important We are looking to reuse and adapt existing technology, not commission an entirely new platform. You provide the existing technology platform. We provide the Philippine tax domain and rules.

Hi — Puru here from ErgoSphere. You're essentially building a tax-compliance platform with existing Xero/QBO integration, adding Philippine tax rules. This involves adapting your current system without starting from scratch. What usually matters most here is the seamless integration with Xero/QBO and the accurate implementation of Philippine tax calculations, ensuring compliance and precision in tax form generation. I'd recommend leveraging a microservices architecture with FastAPI for the tax engine, due to its scalability and efficiency. Integration with Xero/QBO can continue via RESTful APIs, ensuring reliable data exchange. For secure data handling, use OAuth2 for authentication. The key focus will be on expanding your platform's tax logic to incorporate new rules while maintaining data integrity and audit trails. I've worked on AI-driven platforms, scalable web apps, and complex API integrations, which align closely with your needs. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific tax classifications and forms need to be supported initially? Q2 – Are there any existing constraints in your platform’s architecture that we should be aware of? Q3 – How do you envision the demonstration of current platform capabilities? A working prototype could reasonably be targeted within 4–6 weeks, followed by a polished release in roughly 8–10 weeks depending on the complexity of adapting the existing architecture. Looking forward to hearing from you.

We have experience building and adapting tax/accounting systems with Xero and QuickBooks integrations, accounting-data ingestion, normalization, tax rules, reporting, and compliance workflows. We understand that you are looking to reuse an existing platform, not build a new tax engine from scratch. Our architecture can maintain taxpayer-level VAT/non-VAT status as a controlled field that determines the applicable calculation path without automatically changing status based on transaction volume. We can also flag revenue approaching or exceeding the applicable threshold as an advisory exception for authorized human review. We can demonstrate the existing platform, Xero/QBO flow, tax calculation, and automated form-population workflow, then assess the Philippine requirements and provide a fixed implementation scope, timeline, and licensing/IP terms.

Hi, I have an existing multi tenant accounting and tax platform built with a modular database architecture, complete with live Xero and QuickBooks Online API connectors, transaction ingestion pipelines, and a configurable rule engine. To handle Philippine tax compliance, I will map your BIR rules, tax classifications, calculation logic, and official tax forms into our existing tax engine. Because our engine treats tax rules as configurable parameters rather than hardcoded logic, we can add Philippine VAT thresholds, percentage taxes, and withholding rules cleanly. We will then build a form mapping layer that takes normalized accounting data through the tax calculation and automatically populates the official tax forms for human review, keeping the VAT status locked to Form 2303 user settings rather than auto toggling from transaction totals. I will arrange a live demonstration of our existing platform showing Xero integration and dynamic form population first, and you only release the milestone after seeing that working demo. How is client user access and role management structured in your deployment plan? Best, Salma Noreen

Hi there, Fernando from Mexico. I already have a substantially developed tax compliance platform with working Xero/QBO integration, accounting data ingestion and normalization, tax calculation, compliance outputs, tax forms, working papers, tenant management, and audit traceability. For the Philippine implementation, I can model BIR registration status as taxpayer level configuration, with VAT and percentage tax as separate calculation paths. The engine would not automatically reclassify a taxpayer from transaction data. A non VAT taxpayer approaching or crossing the applicable threshold can instead trigger an advisory exception for human review while the registered status remains unchanged. The existing architecture can then map normalized accounting data through the Philippine tax rules into the applicable official BIR forms, rather than producing figures that require manual form entry. I can demonstrate the existing platform, Xero/QBO integration, and the accounting data → tax calculation → populated form workflow. My first step would be to demonstrate the existing platform and trace one taxpayer through both registration status handling and form generation, so the reuse and Philippine adaptation scope can be assessed directly. Hi, Primary risk is incorrect mapping from Xero/QBO chart and journal structures to Philippine tax-form fields, which breaks audit trail and client trust. I focus on source-to-form traceability and authoritative taxpayer-level controls to eliminate that failure mode. I have delivered multiple accounting-to-compliance integrations that include Xero and QuickBooks Online connectors, transaction normalization, rule-based tax calculations, populated government forms for human review, and full audit trails with working papers. Those projects included live demonstrations of end-to-end flows and delivery of source-code licensing or clear IP transfer options. My first step is a short live demo of the existing platform connected to a sandbox Xero/QBO tenant so you can see accounting data -> tax calculation -> populated official form in real time. After that I will ingest your Philippine tax-domain requirements and implement them as rule modules with traceable mappings and unit tests. I can show how the platform provides client/tenant management, working papers, and audit trail entries for every calculated field so a reviewer can trace each populated form value back to source transactions and rules. I will present source-code/IP or licensing terms during the demo and provide a phased cost and timeline estimate immediately after requirements review. - Would you prefer a 30- or 60-minute demo with a sandbox Xero/QBO connection and sample company data? - Do you have a prioritized list of the Philippine official forms and submission deadlines to include in the first implementation sprint? Sincerely, @melopgabriel

With TechWagger at the helm, you can rest assured that our team has the expertise you need for this project. We have a proven track record in API integration, database management, software architecture, and software development, which are all key skills necessary for your desired platform. In terms of Philippine tax regulations, we've successfully tackled complex and unique regional requirements before. While we don't specialize in Philippine tax compliance per se, our deep understanding of tax rules and regulations from working with diverse clients across multiple jurisdictions positions us well to tailor your project to your specific needs. Regarding screening questions one and two, I would like to confirm that our platform enables taxpayer-level status categorization that drives separate calculation pathways such as VAT or percentage tax. Our tax engine will not automatically reclassify taxpayers based purely on transaction data. We can certainly identify and flag if a non-VAT taxpayer's revenue approaches or crosses registration thresholds without changing their registered status. This advisory exception enables your team to make informed decisions while maintaining data consistency and accuracy.

Hi there, I'd like to discuss your requirement for a tax compliance platform that integrates with Xero and QuickBooks Online. It's clear that you need an existing infrastructure that facilitates accounting data ingestion, tax calculations, and populated tax forms, which aligns well with my experience in financial software development and API integration. I can demonstrate how our existing technology can implement Philippine tax rules without the need for a complete rebuild. Specifically, we can model a taxpayer-level status field that tracks VAT vs. percentage tax and allows for advisory exceptions without automatic reclassification based solely on revenue data. This approach ensures compliance and accuracy in tax calculations. I look forward to clarifying the details further and how we can adapt this platform to meet your needs. Regards, Ali

Hello, I’ve reviewed your requirements and understand that you need an existing tax-compliance platform with working Xero/QBO integration, accounting-data ingestion, tax calculations, official Philippine tax-form population, audit trails, and tenant management. I have 10+ years of experience with accounting integrations, APIs, databases, SaaS platforms, data processing, and configurable business-rule systems. For your screening questions, the architecture should maintain a taxpayer-level VAT/non-VAT registration status sourced from the BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303). That status would explicitly select the VAT or percentage-tax calculation path and should not be automatically changed based only on transaction data. The platform can also monitor revenue against the applicable threshold and raise an advisory exception for human review while retaining the registered non-VAT treatment. Key Features: Xero/QBO, tax engine, Philippine tax rules, BIR forms, audit trail, tenant management, compliance outputs. User Roles: Taxpayer/accountant reviews and submits data; System calculates and populates forms; Admin manages rules and tenants. Thanks, InvokeTech

:) Hello, I'm Ricardo from Buenos Aires.----->>>>> What you need isn't another tax system, it's a proven-platform adaptation problem. The key is preserving registered VAT status while still flagging threshold risk without changing tax treatment. I'll start by demonstrating the existing Xero/QBO ingestion and normalized data flow, then show tax calculation into populated Philippine BIR forms. The taxpayer status will be a separate master field driving VAT or percentage-tax paths, never auto-reclassified from transactions. Threshold crossing will trigger an advisory exception for human review. Can you confirm which official BIR forms are required for the first implementation? I'll map one sample taxpayer flow into a populated form for free, so you can assess the architecture before proceeding. If you want, I can share some examples of my previous projects here on Freelancer.com, so you can evaluate my skills and experience.
