I would like to install either BSD or Fedora on a server. I'd then like you to secure the server and shutdown all non necessary services except ssh, rsync, samba, and ftp.
We will be providing backup services to clients so we would create user names which are allocated a specific amount of disk space and only allowed to use the services listed above. What operating system would you choose?
Please advise how much this will cost and your turn around time.

i would recomend FreeBSD. If you need Linux then i think Debian would be a wise choice - cause it is stable and mature.
Hello, In my opinion the Debian Sarge Linux distribution is more stable and secure than Fedora or FreeBSD. Kevin
