We have a Debian server (6.0.5 Squeze), up to date with PHP 5.3.3
APC, Varnish and MemCache are up and running. We have gained +200% of performances for Drupal anonymous users.
We have on this server only one testing Drupal site installed with Aegir.
==> But we have some issues we expect you to solve:
1) When using drush we have an error message: [apc-warning] Unable to allocate memory for pool.
We want to understand why and remove it
2) Varnish and MemCached generate a lot (really a lot) of processes, even after reboot.
We want to know if it is normal, of if they can be reduced as it could be a performance overkill.
3) We have subversion installed on the server, and we access the repositories via dav_svn (http).
The SVN login page appears, but once logged in there is an error 500. This usually happens with wrong permissions, but another setup without APC Varnish and MemCache has the exact same setup / permissions and works perfectly.
Svn path has been excluded from varnish but it still doen't work.
We want you to make SVN http access work.
4) MemCache clusters hits are still equal to zero. We also want you to install APC, MemCache and Varnish modules for Drupal and make them work.
You will have preference on the other candidates if you are willing to work on your own server with a full server tarball of ours, to test and then report.
You will have access to all the steps we have documented to install all the caching libraries to make it easier for you.
We expect you report to us what you have done, and the modified configuration files.
Please provide documentation links for each point to show you feel confident with this.
Thanks and regards
